Mr Barry O'Sullivan

Mr. Barry O’Sullivan is a highly experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a career spanning over two decades of clinical excellence. Barry obtained his medical degree from University College Dublin in 1998. He later earned a Master of Surgery (MCh) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, where his research focused on the “Upregulation of diabetic wound healing”.
After completing his Higher Surgical Training in 2011, Barry moved to Perth, Australia, for advanced fellowships in Trauma and Microsurgical reconstruction. Barry served as a Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at the Royal Perth Hospital before returning to Dublin in 2014 to join the surgical teams at Beaumont and Connolly Hospitals.
Beyond the operating room, he is a dedicated educator, serving as the Irish Training Program Director for Plastic Surgery from 2019 to 2024 and still regularly teaches at postgraduate level. Barry holds significant leadership roles, including the Irish representative on the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Specialty Advisory Committee (UK & Ireland) and is a Council Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Barry’s practice focuses on Head and Neck reconstruction, specialised Skin Cancer management, and aesthetic surgery of the breast and abdomen. Barry is a member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Irish Society of Head and Neck Surgeons.
